Lou Nashville

Inventive New American plates & wine served in a warm, intimate cottage with a patio.

Tourists and locals alike, make Lou Nashville your next stop for a good meal and a good time. With a grand selection of natural wine, share plates, weekend brunch, and dinner, this spot will not disappoint.

First . . . the food. For brunch, try the Chocolate Maple and Buckwheat Pancakes or Winter Squash with Potato Hash and Eggs. They've also got a fantastic breakfast sandwich with house chorizo and pecorino or kale and monterey jack, soft scrambled eggs, potatoes, chili paste, preserved lemon aioli, and a lacto-fermented hot sauce.

At dinner, start your table off right with Charcuterie, Fish, and Cheese to share. You can pick from a scrumptious selection that includes chilled crab dip, marinated olives, salmon rillettes, and more.

Then move along to an entree like the Roasted Cornish Hen (with a buttermilk marinade, soaked bread, pickled cranberry coulis), Bucksnort Farms Trout (with salsa verde, calabrian chili harissa, charred lemon), or Black Hawk Ribeye (with burnt onion tare, sweet garlic, sesame oil).

In addition to the food, Lou Nashville also has a variety of natural wines from Italy, France, Austria, Bosnia, Germany, and more. They've got beer from New South Wales, Germany, Austria, and New York. And if you'd prefer, sip on tea from Nashville's own High Garden tea shop.

All that is served inside this superbly renovated 1930s craftsman house on McGavock Pike. You’ll instantly feel the cute French-bistro vibe with their vintage wallpaper and tons of natural light.

It's perfect for an intimate date or small group night out.

Hey, have you been to the Lou before? What did you think? And what did you order? I’d love to hear about it.
