You’ll Be Singing The Brews

Where can you get craft beer and craft pizza, just steps from catching a Nashville Sounds game? TailGate Brewery!

Now, this taproom does have four Nashville locations, all with their own distinct ambience—and only the Germantown one is next to the stadium. But that means you’ve got four chances to enjoy the food, drinks, and fun this dynamite brewery has to offer. If you’re local, maybe you try out all four and see which vibe is your favorite!

I could go on about the differences of each location, but let’s stick to the superb similarities that unite them all. And first things first—the brews. There’s the Howdy Cloudy, a New England style IPA. TailGate donates part of the proceeds from this beer to the Nashville Zoo for their Clouded Leopard conservation program, which is why that big cat appears on the can.

You can also order Orange Wheat, TENN (a golden lager), the Peanut Butter Milk Stout (you don’t even have to wait until dessert for this one!), or their TailGate Cider.

And those are the more traditional tastes. TailGate isn’t afraid to experiment with flavor—and you shouldn’t be either. Right now they’ve got sour peach cobbler, chocolate-covered strawberry, French toast, and s’mores inspired brews.

The next reason to put TailGate on your must-visit list is the food. I’m talking apps like wings, spicy feta dip, and pretzel bites; 10 loaded fries options (mac & cheese, taco, and caprese, to name a few); salads; sandwiches; and, of course, pizza. You might want to plan an extra ten minutes to your meal because it’ll take a while to pick.

Personally, the pizza is my favorite. You can pick from a craft pizza like the Nashville hot chicken, meat lover’s, pepperoni feta, or hot honey. Or, build your own pie. They’ve even got vegan options. And if you don’t fill up on brews and foods, end the night with dessert: cinnamon bites, s’mores pizza, or (my favorite) cinnamon roll pizza.

There’s really nothing like a cold beer and a hot, hand-crafted pizza. And TailGate makes some of the best of both.
