The Closest Beaches Nashville, Tennessee

Do you like the beaches or lake better?

I grew up in Sarasota, Florida and Siesta Key was where we often went to the beach. It has some of the whitest sand in the world.

So, when I first visited the beaches in the panhandle after moving to Nashville I was pleasantly surprised.

They reminded me of Siesta Key, Florida, especially Fort Walton Beach.

As you know Nashville, Tennessee is located in the central part of the United States, and it is not particularly close to the ocean.

However, there are a few options for beaches that are within driving distance.

The closest beach to Nashville is probably Gulf Shores, Alabama, which is approximately a 6-hour drive from Nashville.

Gulf Shores is a popular beach destination on the Gulf of Mexico and offers a range of activities, such as swimming, fishing, and water sports.

Another option is Pensacola Beach, Florida, which is approximately a 7-hour drive from Nashville.

Pensacola Beach is known for its sugar-white sand and clear emerald waters, and it is a great place for swimming, sunbathing, and relaxing.

If you are looking for a beach that is closer to Nashville, you might consider visiting a lake instead.

There are several lakes in the area, including Percy Priest Lake and Old Hickory Lake, which offer opportunities for swimming, boating, and fishing.
