Welcome to Smashville!

Who's down to hang at a Preds hockey game?

The 2022–23 NHL season is the 106th season of operation (105th season of play) of the National Hockey League (NHL).

The regular season began on October 7, 2022, when the San Jose Sharks and the Nashville Predators played the first of two games in Prague, Czech Republic as a part of the 2022 NHL Global Series, according to a quick search.

Here’s the deal: you don’t even have to be a sports fan to enjoy watching the Nashville Predators play live at the Bridgestone arena. Because it isn’t just about hockey—it’s a complete “Smashville” experience.

And this experience is perfect for dates, group outings, and even hanging with the fam. With seats starting in the $20s, you don’t even have to break the bank to go. Now, cheap seats are pretty high up, but it’s honestly fun wherever you sit.

First off, there are plenty of food options. There’s Pete & Terry’s Tavern, just outside the stadium at the Nissan SoBro entrance. They’re serving up pizza, wings, hot chicken (It’s Nashville, so, duh.), and, of course, a great beer selection.

There’s also the Barrel House on the first level of Bridgestone, with drinks at the bar or tailgate-style favorites to munch on. Plus, you know they’ve got all the favorites on multiple levels in the arena, with nachos, hot dogs, tacos, and all the food you need to really get in the hockey spirit.

Then there’s the game itself. Preds fans are legit! They’ve got their own chants, tons of trash talk, inside jokes, and a deep-down desire to walk out after the game with a W. Just being in the arena during the game will get you pumped up.

The kids (or those who are a kid at heart) will love Gnash, the mascot. Catch him and get a photo! And listen, you’re in Music City, so you know that National Anthem is going to rock your face off. When it’s playoff time or a big game, expect a big name to take center stage to sing. Keith Urban, Vince Gill with his daughters, Trisha Yearwood, Rascal Flatts, and Sheryl Crow are just a few who have surprised Preds fans with their awesome vocals.

And if you are a sports fan, all the better. The Preds are fighting for a playoff spot right now, and you should be there to watch them leave it all on the ice. Check out their schedule so you can get tickets. And if you’re an out-of-towner, their website has hotel and flight offerings. Right. In. The. Schedule. The Preds obviously want you to come to Nashville and come to a game.

And locals, if you haven’t been yet, hitting up a Preds game is just part of being a Nashvillian! Get your fang fingers ready (You’ll see when you get there.), and come out to cheer on the team in “Smashville.”

Super fans and everyone in between, tell me your number one reason to see the Preds live and in action. Seriously! I want to hear.
