56 state parks, 1 National Park & Alpine Coasters in Tennessee

There are no National Parks 100% in Tennessee

I love the outdoors, zip linning and alpine coasters.

Yes another reason I love Nashville, Tennessee.

Tennessee State Parks

The Tennessee State Parks system manages a diverse range of parks that offer a variety of recreational opportunities, including hiking, camping, fishing, boating, and wildlife viewing. Some of the most popular state parks in Tennessee include Fall Creek Falls State Park, Radnor Lake State Park, and Cumberland Mountain State Park.

National Parks and Tennessee

I was surprised to find out that there are currently no national parks located entirely within the state of Tennessee.

However, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which is shared with North Carolina, is located partially in Tennessee.

The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is one of the most visited national parks in the United States, and it offers visitors opportunities for hiking, camping, wildlife viewing, and scenic drives.

In addition to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Tennessee is also home to several national historic sites, national scenic trails, and other units of the National Park Service.

Gravity Powered Roller Coasters - Alpine Coasters

Plus, the Great Smoky Mountains have tons of fun activities. My favorites are zip linning and alpine coasters.

We did these when we were there about a week ago, so fun!

My goal is to visit each state park. I also want to go to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park every year.

Have you been to any of the parks? Alpine coasters? Zip linning?
