BREAKFAST IS GOOD BUT BRUNCH IS BETTER.
Here are 3 of my favorite Brunch spots.

No thriving tourist town would be complete without brunch spots worth texting home about. And Nashville’s got at least three you need to experience: Milk and Honey, Biscuit Love, and Another Broken Egg.

#1 - MILK AND HONEY

Located on 11th Avenue South, in what Nashvillians call “The Gulch,” Milk and Honey will satisfy your coffee, food, and cocktail dreams every morning, at least until 3pm.. They’ve even got gelato, juices, and sea salt caramels!

If you come early, you’ll want to go with a sharable starter (like the whipped ricotta and honey with sourdough toast), and then a toast (served with fresh berries or home fries), something fresh from the bakery (you need a biscuit—trust me), or a brunch sandwich (including a veggie breakfast burrito they can turn vegan at your request).

They’ve also got chicken and waffles, omelets, and hash. And if you come later—check out the salad and sandwich other options too. The hardest decision you’ll make all day will be what to order!

And I haven’t even mentioned the drink selection yet. From espresso martinis to hibiscus margaritas to mimosas (with tons of juices to pick from!)—and even wine or beer—you can get your morning booze on.

But really your dining experience isn’t complete without a coffee. They offer a range of all the classics (drip coffee, iced cold brew, cappuccinos), but also have several specialty lattes like the honey lavender, burnt sugar, and their signature Milk & Honey.

#2 - BISCUIT LOVE

Next up is Biscuit Love, with locations in The Gulch, Hillsboro Village, and even Downtown Franklin. If you go to the Gulch location, make sure you get a shot in front of the angel wings mural —it’s a perfect backdrop for your social media feed.

Of course you’ll expect incredible biscuits served here, and you aren’t wrong on that, but do not leave without trying the bonuts. It’s fried biscuit dough, tossed in sugar, topped with lemon mascarpone, and served over blueberry compote. This shareable alone is worth the trip.

But let’s talk a bit more about the items in the restaurant’s title: those biscuits.

You can get them with Nashville hot chicken, gravy, peanut butter frosting and bananas (Elvis would approve)—or grab a dozen to take home. Biscuit Love also serves hash, shrimp and grits, granola, and even meatloaf.

Get refreshed with a cocktail, fresh-squeezed orange juice, one of the many herbal tea options, or a house-made brown sugar lemonade. Or enjoy roasted coffee from Muletown (a few towns south in Columbia, Tennessee) served as a cappuccino, drip coffee, or seasonal latte. I have to suggest, though, that you test out a Nashville favorite, their house-made chai latte. You can even buy the mix in their retail store.

#3 - ANOTHER BROKEN EGG

Finally, Another Broken Egg. Their menu has shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, and a cinnamon roll French toast. But if you’re an eggs Benedict fan—this is definitely the place for you. Another Broken Egg has multiple variations on this theme, including crab cake, smoked salmon, and hash brown options.

With healthier items (a goat-cheese filled egg-white omelette) and complete decadence (Bourbon Street pancakes and strawberry pound cake French toast), whatever you prefer—you’ll find something you’ll love. Even burgers and salads have a spot on this menu.

Another Broken Egg doesn’t have an expansive coffee menu, and they carry zero boozy options, but if you’re looking mostly to get a full stomach with a classic cup of joe, hot cocoa, or cold brew on the side—this place can handle that. And then some.

That’s your list! Try one—or all—when you’re here in Nashville. And locals, make sure you’re giving these shops some attention. You might just find a new favorite.
Hey, if you’ve already been to one of these spots, what did you think? Send me your thoughts! I’d love to hear.
