Food, Drinks, Fun (and Zero Live Farm Animals)
ACME FEED AND SEED
Back in the 1960s, Acme Farm Supply at 101 Broadway in Nashville held promotions like pigs as door prizes and free flea baths for your dog—and, I’ve got to say, this location has come a long way. It’s now home to Acme Feed & Seed. And you won’t get free farm animals or treatments for your pet these days, you can enjoy incredible food, drinks, and entertainment.

Acme Feed & Seed has three floors open to the public, and here’s what you can find at each one. On the first floor, order your food and drinks at the bar or with a cashier. Then find your seat, and everything will come right to you!
The second floor is full service—so you can order at the bar or with a server. Here’s where you find craft cocktails, lounge vibes, and sushi!

Then there’s the rooftop! You’ll need to order your food down on the first floor and then bring it up. But there’s a bar you can order from once you’ve reached the top.
The third floor? That’s an awesome private event space called “The Hatchery.” You can book for your group of 250 seated or 450 standing. With exposed brick walls and a view of the Cumberland River, Nissan Stadium and Riverfront Park, this could be the ideal spot for your special event.
Let me tell you: the food itself is worth a visit. They say Acme Feed & Seed is a place locals love, and it’s probably at least half due to the menu. There’s redneck lo mein (lo mein noodles, smoked chicken, collard greens, corn, black-eyed peas, caramelized onions, andouille sausage & soy glaze), nachos with pulled pork, wings, a burger, pot roast, ribs, cowboy chili with cornbread, and more.

Plus that second floor offers over a dozen types of sushi rolls, poke bowls, fried rice, pork gyoza, and plenty of other options. Oh, and four kinds of sake to wash it down.
Speaking of drinks, you’ve got classics like Coke products, teas, and even iced coffees. But the cocktail menu has plenty to talk about. Multiple mules, something called the “Bridesmaid’s Tears” (with vodka, black raspberry, lemon), an elderflower mint gimlet, the “Hey Good Lookin’” (with gin, rosemary, lemon, grapefruit), and a lot more. Or, if you prefer beer, enjoy several local brewery specials on draft.

The last thing I have to call out is the entertainment aspect. Trivia on Mondays, Sunday Salsas, Dungeons and Drafts, the “Funky Tonk” on Thursdays, a DJ on the rooftop, and live music throughout the week. No matter what you call “fun,” Acme’s got you.
As you can see, there are more than enough reasons to get yourself to Acme Feed & Seed next time you’re in downtown Nashville.
Hey, if you’ve already been to this spot, what did you think? Send me your thoughts! I’d love to hear.
