French Alps Ski Lodge, or Nashville Rooftop Lounge?

L27

Perched 27 floors above Music City, on the top of the Westin Nashville, is the perfectly named L27 Rooftop Lounge, with views, cocktails, and foods just waiting for you to experience.

Right now, the lounge is decked out for the season featuring “Chalet 27,” a winter wonderland pop-up the likes of which dreams are made of. Imagine a cozy French Alps ski lodge, right here in Nashville, and you’ll have a pretty good idea of the vibe L27 is rocking these blustery months.

But the magical ambiance isn’t the only reason to go up to L27. Let me tell you about the food. There’s a full menu! Starters are caprese toast and truffled grits risotto. Shareables are fries, Brussels sprouts, chicken wings, and even grilled octopus. They offer two salad options and multiple main courses, including burgers, short ribs, and pasta.

Make sure you order a desert, even if you have to share it with your entire table. I suggest the strawberry shortcake. Their take on this old classic is sumptuous with fried pound cake, lemon icing, freeze dried strawberries, and a fantastic strawberry chantilly. Trust me. Your taste buds will thank you.

Of course it isn’t a trip to a pop-up bar without a cocktail. L27 has 10 featured drinks with the Cherry Blossom (Casamigos Blanco, Heering cherry liqueur, maraschino syrup, grapefruit juice, and lime juice), Mint to Be (Blue Chair Bay White Rum, tangerine syrup, mint syrup, lime juice, and fresh mint), and Fizz Season (New Amsterdam Vodka, prosecco, Canton De Domain, limoncello, dragon fruit syrup, and lemon juice) topping the charts in my book. These cocktails taste even better than they look—and that’s saying a lot.

This popup is open all winter long. Hmm, maybe you should pre-plan the perfect Valentine’s date or Galentine’s evening. Whenever you plan to come, consider reserving a table so you know you’re in. Because you’re going to want to be in to enjoy this cozy winter ski chalet atmosphere high above the lights of Music City.

Hey, if you’ve already been to this spot, what did you think? Send me your thoughts! I’d love to hear.
