Where should you visit today? Prince's Hot Chicken that's where.

Prince’s Brings the Heat

In the past 100 years, a lot has changed in Nashville. But Prince’s Hot Chicken Shack hasn’t. It’s still serving up the spice that will knock your socks off. (So maybe bring a spare pair.)

With locations on Nolensville Pike and inside the Assembly Food Hall on Broadway, you’ve got two spots to get your hands on the classic heat. The story goes that Thorton Prince’s wife snuck a huge amount of spice into fried chicken to get back at her husband (who she thought was sneaking around on her), and—instead of feeling her wrath, Prince ended up loving the new twist. He perfected the recipe you can now enjoy for yourself.

And it’s still all in the family! The founder’s great niece, Ms. Andre Prince Jeffries, now runs the place.

You’ve got 8 levels of heat to pick from: starting with “Plain” and ending with “XXX Hot.” And you can get it as a whole chicken, half chicken, wings, tenders, chicken salad, and more. The meat isn’t all you’ll love, though. Prince’s has sides like baked beans, cole slaw, and “get it girl” greens. Then grab a beer, sweet tea, or soda—and finish the meal with a slice of cake or pie (or take the whole pie!).

Eat on location, order online, or have Prince’s cater your next gathering or event to see who can take the heat, and who will taste defeat. (Okay, there’s no defeat here. Even the plain chicken is fire when it comes to awesome flavor!)

Hey, if you’ve already been to this spot, what did you think? And who has the best hot chicken in Nashville? Send me your thoughts! I’d love to hear.

LET ME INTRODUCE MY GIRLFRIEND AND I'S PHENOMENAL PUP KITRI!

This is Kitri, she is a 5 year old golden retriever. She has one of the best temperaments and is actually a service dog in training. We thought it would be a great idea to start sharing a photo of Kitri everyday. She brings us so much joy, and I hope she will bring y'all joy as well.

That is all we've got for today folks, be sure to stay tuned so you can get your share of the sweet tea tomorrow and the rest of the week.
