Nashville’s Adele Restaurant

Locally-Sourced, Fantastically-Flavored

Located on McGavock Street, Nashville’s Adele offers diners a unique and sophisticated atmosphere (with clean lines and open, airy spaces) and a delectable menu of locally-sourced, fresh, sustainable dishes.

For starters, order a round of the Marinated Olives, served with focaccia. This fruit (Did you know olives are a fruit?) is marinated in herbs and spices to bring out their natural flavor. Or try the Meatballs, served on a bed of polenta and topped with pecorino, or their Smoked Salmon Dip. You really can’t go wrong with any of these appetizers.

For a main course, the Roasted Chicken is in-cred-i-ble. It’s served with a salsa verde that adds a bright, tangy flavor to the dish, while the roasted chicken is juicy and tender. The Gnocchi (which is a growing favorite of mine on so many menus these days) comes with a parsnip purée, delicata squash, lemon, pecorino, and rosemary. (Rosemary and potatoes have been a match made in heaven for a while. So adding this herb to gnocchi? Genius.) They’ve got a succulent Pork Loin too, with smoked cheddar grits, pear chutney, and sage. The entire menu is made to please.

Finally, no meal at Adele's is complete without some sweets. Start with a dessert cocktail like the Pecan Espresso Martini (with Cathead, pecan, oatmilk, Mr. Black, Louisa's Coffee Caramel Liqueur) or the PB&J Old Fashioned (Skrewball Peanut Butter Bourbon, Evan Williams, Giffard Banana, and Chambord). Hey, I thought PB bourbon would be a stretch, but you’ve just got to try this to understand how well it works!

Then order ice cream or sorbet (like the Mango Chili Saffron Sorbet, a one-of-a-kind treat). Or there’s a Coffee Crumb Cake you won’t soon forget. (I know I won’t, anyway.)

An ambience of open space and menu packed with awesome taste: That’s Adele’s.

Have you ever tried a peanut butter bourbon? Let me know how you liked it.
