A trip to Cancun, Playa del Carmen and Playa de Mujeres sounds nice right now.

Until then, the Gulch's Saint Anejo's: Nacho Ordinary Mexican Restaurant will satisfy.

Nacho Ordinary Mexican Restaurant

Where can you get creative taco combos, homemade guac that’s just as extra as you are, and craft cocktails you won’t soon forget? Saint Anejo in the Gulch.

First off, if you don’t know, the Gulch is an upscale Nashville neighborhood with trendy restaurants, high-end fashion boutiques, and chic hotel options. And one of those restaurants is one of my favorites! Saint Anejo is open for brunch, lunch, and dinner—and you might want to visit at each of those times to get the full menu experience.

Start off brunch with a Caliente Cold Brew with coffee, Licor 43, Hellfire bitters, and Tajin (though you can totally get the non-alcoholic version if you prefer!), Pomalo Sparkle (with sparkling cava, grapefruit juice, and pamplemousse), or one of their variations of a Bloody Mary.

Then pick some eats off their Savory, Sweet, Skinny, or Huevos list. I’d suggest the Cinnamon Roll Waffle with a cream cheese drizzle or the Gringo with two eggs, hash, and a choice of chicken sausage, pork sausage, smoked ham or FatBack bacon.

For lunch, grab a Jarritos, Mexican Coca-Cola, Sangria, or Cerveza to drink. Then a taco (Hot Chicken, Crispy Potato, or Barbacoa with Korean BBQ brisket, chicharrones, cabbage, and scallions are my favorites) and some sides (You need the Elotes Street Corn in your life and in your mouth.).

And there’s still dinner to talk about! Order one of their margaritas or Signature Cocktails. I love the Pablo Honey with blanco, blackberry, agave, and lime. Yes, please.

They’ve got that awesome taco menu, salad options that won’t make you sad you ordered a salad, and some “Platos” like the Carne Asada with cotija, jalapeño, pico, cilantro, serrano butter, mexicali rice, and charro beans.

You can get a reservation, come and put your name on the list, or rent out the Tequila Library, which the website explains is “a private mezzanine overlooking the main level” that’s “perfectly suited to host a tequila tasting, birthday party, or other private event.”

I almost forgot—there’s a great backdrop greenery wall that’s perfect for a photo to post on social media.

They seriously have it all at Saint Anejo, or at least they will as soon as they have you there!

Hey, if you’ve alreay been to this spot, what did you order? Tell me all about it! I’d love to hear.
