You scream, I scream, we all scream for icecream!

Good morning Nashville, it is a beautiful day (and yes I say that even when it's pouring out.)

You (Will) Scream for (This) Ice Cream

There’s ice cream. And then there’s Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, with locations all over Nashville and beyond—and even containers in some stores. But listen, if you can get to an actual Jeni’s location—go. Here are some reasons why.

First—the amazing aroma that greets you as you walk in the door. I have a feeling heaven will smell like that first whiff of a Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream. It’s the handmade cones that do it—mixed with the sweetness of all those incredible flavor options. By the way, if you prefer to have your scoops in a bowl, you won’t miss out on the sugar cone goodness. They serve up a little slice with every serving.

Next—those flavor options! There are winter favorites like Cranberry Crumble (brown sugar-oat crisp, cranberries, and walnuts wrapped in lively cranberry cream) and Brown Butter Almond Brittle (brown butter almond candy crushed into buttercream ice cream). They’ve got classics like Cookies In Cream, Green Mint Chip, and Strawberry Buttermilk. Then there are pairings that just make sense like Wildberry Lavender and Salted Peanut Butter with Chocolate Flakes. They’ve even got dairy-free options like Lemon Bar, Dark Chocolate Truffle, and (my dairy-free friend’s favorite) Texas Sheet Cake.

But Jeni’s doesn’t stop there. They also serve up enticing flavor combos that will blow your mind and change your perspective on ice cream forever. (I’m not exaggerating if you’re an extreme ice cream fan!) I’m talking MidWest Whisky and Pecans (whiskey-fueled ice cream—with notes of butterscotch, honey, coconut, and vanilla—laden with crunchy, salty, toasted pecans., Brambleberry Crisp (oven-toasted oat streusel and a sweet-tart brambleberry jam layered throughout vanilla ice cream), and the newly returned fan-favorite Goat Cheese With Cherries.

Can’t decide which one to buy? You don’t have to. Purchase the ice cream flight to enjoy the decadence of multiple flavors! I always do this, usually trying something new alongside my tried-and-true favorite: Gooey Butter Cake (cream cheese ice cream layered with crumbles of vanilla cake and a swirl of caramel-butterscotch sauce . . . I want a scoop right now!) If the taste experience ends all too soon for you, grab a pint to go!

Listen, even if you’re on-the-fence about ice cream, Jeni’s might just be what pushes you over into this food fandom! But if you’re a major ice cream fan already—you have to visit a Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream. As soon as you possibly can!

Hey, if you’ve already been to this spot, what did you think? Send me your thoughts! I’d love to hear.
