What’s the “Brewhaha” About The Bearded Iris?
BEARDED IRIS BREWERY
Tennessee’s state flower is the Iris, so it only makes sense that your trip to Nashville is incomplete without a stop at the Bearded Iris Brewery.

Their website says they’ve got a goal: “to construct a pint that’s unapologetically itself, memorably composed, and fun to drink.” And they succeed. For. Sure.
Come on in to the Germantown or Sylvan Supply locations for a pint fresh off the tap, a can, or a keg to take home. And there’s merch! Apparel, glassware, stickers . . . once you fall in love with the beer, you can rep the brand!

But we know what you’ll really visit for: the brews. So I’ll highlight a few. The Pep Talk Lager is a pilsner hopped with Nelson, Perle, and Hallertau Blanc. The Triple Homestyle and Rough Day are both IPAs. Horizon is a tropical wheat beer. They even offer a high gravity kombucha and cider options brewed by Diskin.
They don’t offer food of their own, but the awesome Cabin Attic’s burger truck is onsite at Germantown Thursday–Saturday. And what goes better with a beer than a burger? Maybe ramen . . . which is what you can get at Sylvan Supply, with food from Black Dynasty Secret Ramen House!

The Germantown location is open to hosting events (talk about a perfect bachelor party or birthday bash!). Neither location offers tours . . . yet. But you’ll be able to watch the magic happen while you’re chugging your brew. And, get this, Bearded Iris says, “Well-behaved fur babies and small humans are welcome!”
So grab your pup, kid, or friends and hit up the Bearded Iris Brewery.
Hey, if you’ve already been to this spot, what did you think? Send me your thoughts! I’d love to hear.
