Holy (Wild) Cow: It’s The Perfect Place for Vegans!

Wild Cow in East Nashville is, for all food-lovers!

Even if you’re not vegan, this places is worth forgoing meat for a meal.

If you’re vegan you know it’s hard enough to find one item on a menu to enjoy at most restaurants, much less a restaurant where you want one of everything. well, this is that place.

I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how good Wild Cow in East Nashville is, for all food-lovers!

Situated on Fatherland Street, Wild Cow says they want to “bring people together for the love of good food in a fun and relaxed environment,” and they do just that, with a delicious and healthy menu. Most of their produce is even local.

Let’s start off talking about their appetizers. You’ve got nachos (my fav) with seasoned black and pinto beans, vegan queso, salsa verde, tomatoes, red onions, rice and vegan sour cream. All served over non-GMO blue corn tortilla chips. And, it’s gluten-free too!

Or there’s the spinach and artichoke dip with toasted pita bread and topped with cashew parmesan. (Ask for chips instead of pita to go gluten-free here.)

If you want a salad, they’ve got taco salad, caesar salad, Greek gyro salad, chickpea salad, and the “Big Salad” which makes me think of Elaine from Seinfeld. (It was her go-to order at their go-to diner!)

Wild Cow also has a full sandwich menu (including veggie burgers and a French dip with portabella mushrooms), tacos and wraps (chipotle and black bean burrito, anyone?), and entrees (like the buffalo beans and greens with sautéed garlicky kale, pinto beans, brown rice, shredded carrots, grilled tofu or tempeh tossed in their house buffalo sauce and topped with vegan ranch).

There’s a full kids’ menu with beans and rice or their sunbutter and jelly sandwich. (Would that be a sb and j?)

See—you don’t have to miss out on flavor and fun when you eat at Wild Cow.

Hey, if you’ve already been to this spot, what did you think? Send me your thoughts! I’d love to hear.
